I have been busy getting back from one vacation and getting ready for another one. The younger 4 kids went out trick-er treating this year. We had a prize fighter, Miss Utah, Your worst nightmare and vampire. Candy was gathered from all our neighbors, and there was much joy when the candy was inspected by the proper authorities. The older two were smart enough to watch the inspections, the younger two had a little of the candy confiscated for security and safety reasons. The kids were a little disappointed this year as one of our neighbors had in the past given out a dozen krispy kream doughnuts to each tricker, but they were not doing it this year. They are famous around the neighborhood and their doorbell gets rang a lot. They did stop at another home and did get 2 dozen non KK doughnuts (so they were good doughnuts) from a doughnuts and hot chocolate party that was wrapping up.

I see the a prize fighter, Miss Utah, and vampire; But I can't figure out what would make Sara's costume my worst nightmare. You'll have to explain. David sure looks tough, James is SUPER scary and Samantha is as beautiful as she always is.
Sarah is 14, hanging on to trick or treating so she went in her PJ's. It is a stretch, but its free candy. David is the vampire and James is the prize fighter.
cute trick or treaters. i forgot my camera so you'll all miss seeing joe and em on halloween. they were almost the only trick-or-treats out this year. people kept opening the door and saying, "oh thank goodnes, i don't want to eat ALL this candy" and dumped handfuls into their bags. they only went to about 20 houses, but were loaded down.
seems like the tradition is dying out here - folks are more likely to go to the mall where the stores give out candy ..... blah.
I wish someone had told me to inspect the trick-or-treat candy of my kids. I had to resort to sneaking my fair share! Everyone looks either scary or beautiful and look like they'll have a fun night.
