Remember when we lived in Fruit Heights we would stop at this station and get Banana Creamies? It's funny to me today to see how close it is to our old house. They don't have creamies anymore, but I keep them in my freezer anyway. If you're craving Creamies, here's a link to find some near you. Enjoy!

We love Creamis and have them every time we come to Utah. I don't remember having them in Fruit Heights as much as stopping in Plymouth on the way to and from Idaho Falls.
I remember getting them after it was too dark to work in the Fruit Heights house. I don't remember where we got them, I am too young I guess remember back then. They are good little treats, but I as I have gotten older, my taste for frozen treats has diminished to the point that I would rather eat other food that is bad for me.
I know where to get them! Mom's freezer =) the grandkids have learned that pretty well too. I think that the love of creamies has been well ingrained in the next generation.
I just followed the link and found out that creamies aren't available in NC, GA, MD or ME! How do you people SURVIVE back there?
I guess in Maine was just eat lots of lobster and blueberries to make up for it.
We eat lots of Creamies when we come to Utah. One time Mom and I bought Creamies in Utah and packed them in dry ice to take to Dan in AZ. We forgot and left them in the car overnight! Augghhh! The Creamies didn't survive the Arizona garage temps. We laughed and Dan cried!
Aah! Creamies! I remember the trips to Fruit Heights to work on the house. Little Danny would start "campaigning" for them as soon as we hit the Mountain Highway. He was so cute we always stopped. They are a good low-fat snack. Now they come in several flavors. Dad and I smile everytime we pass the service station where we used to stop and get them.
me too! i have so many happy memories of creamies and stopping with mom and dad - it was the highlight of the week!
we all love creamies, but you're right chuck - we can't get them out here.
a couple of other favorites we miss:
grandma sycamore's bread
taco time (an ode to the crispy meat burritos is in order ...)
dick's round white bread
in maryland we survive by eating crab out of our very own ocean and fresh tomatoes off local vines for longer than you can even imagine.
This is one more thing that I don't remember because I was last in line ... I was probably back at the house in Roy toddling around while all of you were in Fruit Heights working on the house and eating Creamies.
Nah, Kristi, you were with us, but you might have had to share with me. The ONLY time we ever left you out of the fun was the day care at Targhee :-)
Thanks for sharing your Creamie with me =)
I can't beleive how much intrest a little banana ice cream treat has generated in our family over the years. We went to see the Fruit Heights house almost everyday and mom is correct, Danny would never let us get by that service station on Mtn. Rd. without stopping for a Creamie treat. The very minute the car's tires hit mountain road a little voice in the back of the car would start his begging chant "can we stop for a Creamie" "please dad, please" "here's the store, turn here" and we always did. Truth is I enjoyed them as much as anyone :-).
I don't remember campaigning nor do I remember the gas station. Sometimes I have to wear a nametag so I don't forget who I am! I do love creamies though. Next time I am in UT I will have to get some. It always amazes me how regions have their own special treats that cannot be had in other places.
