I had planned another summit attempt on Timp (I will get the pics from that posted soon) on Saturday, but it started to rain on Friday then that turned into snow that night, so I stayed home and fixed things around the house. Sunday morning when it finally stopped I went out and took some pictures of the snow in the trees. Like most of my pictures

When I was taking the movie, it was so cold I was having a hard time even talking.

Man that looks cold ... is still storming? We had two solid days of rain in Arizona (2.5" - 4" all over the valley). And 20"+ of snow in Flagstaff but the weather has returned to warm and sunny. After all, we live in the best weather in the world well at least in the fall, winter and spring.
I LOVE the first picture! It is interesting to have that red stop sign in an otherwise white world. Looks like quite a storm! I guess Timp will have to wait til next year now.
Looks like a beautiful storm!!!
The storm is all over, but the mountains are still white. We have lost most of it on the valley floor. I am sure it will be gone everywhere but in the northern side of buildings and trees tomorrow.
I would guess Timp has been lost for the year, its too cold to melt enough for me to get up there. There are people who climb it all winter long, but I am not one of them.
Great pictures Michael. Have all you photographers out there thought about starting a photo business? That is the kind of winter storm I love. Just like I told Kristi, it makes the world quiet and soft and makes you wish your mother (my mother) could make you some soup.
Did you get enough snow so we can go skiing? I am planning on bringing my cross-country skis at Christmas.
I don't think there is enough to cover the rocks yet, but we are expecting another storm this week so bring them along, we will find a spot to go skiing.
