The Hall

The Hall is another thing that I pass everyday on my way almost anywhere. It is a place of social gathering in Otter Creek and about the only thing that would indicate that Otter Creek is a town. I have often thought that I should photograph it but this morning in the snow it had an extra bit of charm so I risked pulling to the side of the road and started taking pictures. I was so excited when I saw this image because I had never noticed the stain glass in the windows before. I thought that the lines and shapes as well as the lack of color and simple colors in the stained glass all made for a very cool image. Just thought I would share my discovery with you all.

This place your living really does look like a charming little place, I wish Laura and I would have come up and visited you. A building like this is larger city may never be noticed . Did you noticed the stain glass before or after you had taken the picture?

I noticed it before I took the picture ... but I didn't notice it until I looked at the building long enough to figure out how I wanted to photograph it.

It is a charming place. I think that everyone should go to Maine at least once in their life!

I thought The Hall looked interesting every time we passed it too. At first I thought it was abandoned but then I noticed that they had repaired the darkened clapboard with new unweathered board in a few places. I think everyone should visit ME at least twice!

We also should have come to see you. We will try harder to see you in the next place. Northern Idaho would be nice.
