GA Jingle Jog

Kristi joined us in GA for our annual Jingle Jog this year and we had lots of fun. Dan, Katie, Chas and Kristi ran the 5k. Well, I heard that Chas ran and everyone else chased him. Emma and I walked the 2k as Em is still rehabbing from her surgery. Our favorite part of this race is all the free food and games provided by the sponsors. The kids rock climbed, slid down a sinking Titanic slide, rode a pony and we all ate alot! You just can't go wrong with hot wings and Mayfield icecream bars on a beautiful December morning!

I am also including a picture of us making Buckeyes, the candy previously known as peanut butter balls. Chas is show casing his peanut butter snowman.

This fine picture of Dan and Kristi chilling out with their laptops made me laugh as they were both reading/posting to the family blog.

NICE.

Good to see folks out running in December. I'm totally motivated (note to self - better see where "momofthree" is on nike+ I can't have HER beating me in the USMC virtual challenge).

My favorite is Dan and Kristi working the blog, while actually being in the same room ....

This raises "serious" questions:

How did we ever live without this thing? Should we have rules that we can't look at it when we are actually together? Have the rest of you (like me) given up significant time in your social lives to the pursuit of blogging?

It was really funny, when I posted the Synchronized Christmas lights post a minute or two later I heard the music coming from Danny's computer in the other room.

I don't know that it has interfered with my life to much but I sure enjoy it and I do wonder how we ever survived without it! It sure is nice to keep in touch!

The Jingle Jog was a lot of fun. I was excited when I realized that the time that I would be in Atlanta could coincide with the Jingle Jog. Lots of the joggers/walkers had jingle bells on and there was what looked like a high school track team which had a Santa in a wagon and then ropes and pipes set up so that the "reindeer" could pull the wagon.

The Jingle Jog is the greatest 5k I have ever done. It is completely casual. More people are there to have fun then there are to post a time. Lots of people wear costumes of some sort and it all benefits the salvation army. We have done it 5 years now and we love it.

It was fun to have Kate here to do it as well.

I posted a "congratulations" to all the Jingle Joggers but erased it. Sigh. I admire your energy and your commitment in helping a good organization. Love you

This looks like a fun run for everyone. I guess there was a reindeer chasing Crystal, as she does not run unless being chased.

I lived for a week without the blog, but that's because I am cheep and was not willing to pay .75 a minute to see what was going on. It was one of the first things I did do when I got home. I love the blog and I don't know what we did before we had it either. Thanks again Dan for setting it up.
