Wow! It is so quiet around here! The kids are back to school, Dan is at work and I am left a lone woman. We have had such a great vacation, hanging out together, playing a million games and watching college football. We went to the Zoo to see our big baby panda, saw a fabulous frog exhibit(picture above) at the Museum of Natural History and found time to go Geocaching and see some great old formal gardens and a house that is an exact replica of the White House right here in little 'ol Georgia.(I took a picture as we went flying by on the road!)We've been shootin' hoops, riding bikes and playing with friends. Man, I'm exhausted! I think I'll eat some bon bons and take a nap. I can't wait to hear more about everybody else's Christmas "break"!

I can remember what that quiet feels like! One year the kids got snowed in and couldn't go back after Christmas. They were more than ready to escape the "cabin" fever they had. I'm tired too. We got back to AZ last night and for some reason I decided to clean the frig today. I haven't even showered yet, but the refrigerator is clean! Enjoy the quiet!
Know what you mean Crystal. You guys never slow down! Every time we come to visit it takes a week to recover. Years from now your kids are going to say "my dad and mom were really cool they took us everywhere and we saw some many interesting things!" U Rock,
Grandpa
so many that is :-)..........
I totally understand ... my kids have been recaptured by the school system too and now we all have to take life more seriously.
We're barely hitting the pause button between the holidays, joe's birthday and now graduation.
Our new years was dumb then fun. We went to the harbor to see the fireworks (dumb and cold - we all agreed) and then went to a crazy little Bawlmer diner that is open 24/7 called the Sip and Bite and had a FANTASTIC "dinner" at two in the morning and laughed ourselves silly while we made up stories about how the food we ordered was going to predict the stuff we'd do in 2008. I ordered Spinach and rice - imagine how much fun the kids had with that one ....!
ps.
i love the frogs. they are so cute. frogs are my favorite criters and cows are my second favorite critters; pigs -even though i am one of the screaming variety - are third.
