what a beautiful place and fun activities. i would like to go to a seafood festival. yummy!
Very beautiful and very green. I am surprised though that there is so much open space ... you can actually see the sky. Are there mostly huge trees there?
The place we were hiking in had a big windstorm in the last year and blew down lots of trees. It was fun to see how it was changing. Some of the blown down trees where next to the trail so you could see the large root balls they had.
So what is the deal with the Fox Tail? Do you just throw it up in the air and whoever catches it wins?
This foxtail has been a great fun toy for David. It has a leather ball that whistles when it is thrown. The ribbon attached has points. The closer to the ball, the more points. I have never seen anyone happier for a buck.
It's a great toy when ever we take it to a park someone always asks me where I got it. I just tell them REI. It is so small you allways have room to put it in a backpack the scouts would love it.
I have seen one of these before, but I don't remember it whistling. It is fun until you have some big gun runs over one of the little kids trying to play. Who is that big bully in that picture?
They must make a both. This one says it is a foxtail sonic. The whistle sound is very cool. Although I am afraid that someone who has been in combat will hear it and have flash backs.
Sounds like a good place to have a family reunion!
I like mom's thought ... what a pretty place but the only problem is; none of the rest of us are in the Navy, does that matter? When I was a kid we tied a tennis ball into an old silk stocking and had lots of fun throwing it all over the place. Our toy cost even less than a dollar but it didn't whistle.
I can't believe the size of that ANT in that TREE! Holy Cowburgers! Sure looks like you all are living the good life up there in WA.
Miss you all.
No problem with the rooms. As long as we are there, we can sponsor other guests. We could always get two 4-bedroom houses we should all fit in that. This is where we are planning on going for the sibling reunion. But for that we should all fit into one house or 2 or 3 rooms.
