Mom LaRee, Dad Doug, Grandma Margie, Breck and I (Charlie) went to an Andre Rieu concert on Monday night after I flew home from the East Coast. AndrĂ© Rieu (Pronounced Ree-er) is a Dutch violinist and conductor. He is famous for creating an international revival in waltz music and for his many top selling recordings with his “Johann Strauss Orchestra”. His concerts are a mixture of world class performance and world class fun as the orchestra often "goof off" during performances. Audience members clap, sing, and dance in the aisles and enjoy the fun of a balloon drop at the end of the show and throughout multiple scripted "encores".
It was fantastic and a fun night together. My camera was still in my bag as I came directly from the airport to the concert, but here's a video of Andre to help share the memory. (Click the play button twice).

I already posted on the Christmas list about the concert. It was indeed a very fun night--good music, good laughter and good company! Thanks Charlie and Breck! Wish the riest of you could have been there with us.
I bet this was great. I have seen a bit of him on PBS it looks like he puts on a great show.
Charlie & Breck,
Thanks so much for a wonderful night! Andre and his "band of fun" had us laughing, claping and even dancing all night long. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a night of music any more than this one. You're right, they are a bunch of "goof-offs" but very talented ones. The memory of this night will last long past Christmas and what fun we had openning our 2007 gift a bit early.
Love you both,
Dad
I liked your post so much I added a Andre Rieu to the netflix acount.
