Fonzie

I went hiking again last night with one of the nurses I work with. She has a bull dog named Fonzie who is an amazing rock climber, especially considering how short his legs are. I took some pictures of him that I thought that you all might enjoy. He is a very delightful dog.

This is the view from the "mountain" that we hiked. You can see several of the off shore islands. I think that the Cranberry Islands are out there on the right of the image.

I don't remember 'The Fonz' ever licking his nose! Cute picture. Maine looks beautiful. I can't wait to see the pictures of the colors coming out.

Yea, I don't think that he was much of a nose licker =). The colors seem to go in phases. Some trees peak and then loose their leaves and then some more, etc. So far there has not been a huge blast of color. I'm not sure if it will happen. We will see!

Maine has A LOT of Moose and plenty of bears but fortunately not many of them have managed to make it onto Mt. Desert Island so there is relatively little risk from bears and Moose ... although the roads are still dangerous ... I have seen at least 20 deer after dark standing on the edge of the road.
