
Today I am going to start my SpudMan training for next year. I have set the goals of doing a 20 mph average on the bike and a 5.5 mph average on the run (walk) so I am going to try to do 30 minutes on the bike at the gym at 20 mph avg and 15 min on the treadmill at 5.5 mph. I fully expect the treadmill at 5.5 to kill me but I am excited to build up the speed in walking so that having to walk the run portion will not be such a killer of my Tri time.

I have figured out how to take 20 minutes off mine time next year, I find a better bike to ride. There were racks and racks of them.
LOL ... I don't think that you are supposed to take those!!! If I can get my speed up on the bike and run I can improve my time by quite a bit!!
For some reason Crystal doesn't seem very excited by my sudden desire to get a road bike. Getting passed by all those road bikes was demoralizing! My biggest priority is to lose some weight before i do the next one. I think carrying 20 less pounds will probably cut 20 minutes.
I don't know, I did it five minutes faster weighting 30 more pounds!!!

I would change the number from my bike to another bike, I would not leave them without a bike, I am not that mean.
I am just gald I went out with my wave, it was hard watching 500-600 riders passing my, it would have even been harder being out there on my own. I dont think there would have been anyone that slow out there with me.
