Yesterday we grabbed some friends and braved the heat index of about 110 and had a blast at American Adventures. It is Six Flags Light and perfect for the 5-12 crowd. We took friends and rode all-American classics like the Scrambler, Tilt-a-Whirl and the Bumper Cars(about a hundred times). The great thing about this park is that it is not crowded and we rode as many times as we wanted with no lines, in fact, sometimes we just stayed on and kept going and going and .......... I learned not to close my eyes on the swings and Katie found out that just because you can spin fast on the Teacups doesn't mean you should spin fast! We stopped at Chick-Fil-A on the way home and the cute Southern lady behind the counter thought I was crazy to take that many kids anywhere. She just couldn't quite understand that I was having FUN with them! 3 more days until school starts. Nooooooo........

By the way the older kids earned those tickets at school by participating in a reading program. Go KIDS!
Razzle dazzle got in without reading? Go Razzle.
Way to go girls, reading is a great thing, the only bad thing is that it ruins movies they make out of the books you read. Keep reading, the movies are not all that good anyways.
Looks like a lot of fun!!!
So where did the extra three kids come from??? Did you go with all of them without another parent?? If so that is brave!
The extra three kids are friends of ours from church. It is actually easier to do something like this if each kid has a friend. For some reason friends tend to argue less than siblings!
Looks like a fun day. Who says 6 kids are hard to handle!
It is not hard to handle six if the oldest one is very very good!
Well, I would guess 6 is hard to handle as there is only one living at home at the moment, and she is running a long ways from home. Its hard to get much further away without leaving the USA. I would agree that having 3 kids with friends is easier then having 3 kids, much less fighting.
I would have to agree with Dave with the addendum that it is easy to handle 6 kids if the youngest if very good =)
And Mike ... I truly am almost out of the country! I think that I am like 2 hours from the easternmost border with Canada.
