Acadia National ParkI finally got my travel assignment & the MAINE Ward is back! I will be going to Acadia National Park ... well, kind of. I'll be going to Bar Harbor, Maine which is surrounded by the park. I am going to start my assignment on September 4th and end on December 7th. Come visit if you would like! There will be lots to explore and see. The beauty of Maine cannot disappoint weather it be the fall colors, the bright morning sun, or fresh fallen snow on a rocky coast.

Sounds like fun. You will have to stay longer than Dec for us to come see you, but it would be fun to see Maine.
Congrats! I know you wanted to go back and I can't wait to see all of your pictures. Maybe, Dan and I could sneak away for a "retreat" if we found cheap tix.
That is FANTASTIC Kristie! How close will you be to Maine's high point? I have read that is an awesome hike!!
I am so excited to go! I have been working toward this since May and it is exciting that it is finally happening. I don't know how far I will be from Katadin but I will be like a mile from the high point of the east coast line which is I think somewhere around 1,000 feet.
Great news! I know how much you have wanted to return to our most northern state. Now mom and I can come to visit. We owe Debby a visit maybe we can combine the two.
