We went down to the elementary school playground last night after gorging ourselves on lasagna and Strawberry Pie. I definitely needed a walk. The kids rode their bikes down while us oldies walked. The air conditioning has come back on in Washington (ie the weather has cooled down to normal temps) so it is great to be outside.
Here is a picture of the kids playing a game. The point of the game is to hold back as many kids as you can. Katie plays this at recess and claims she can hold back 5 kids!

Get your Mom and Dad on behind you, Katie, I'll bet you could hold them back too. Since your Mom would probably be holding Lucy, you'd get a bonus person.
We used to play a game like this in the slide at Thunder Ridge....until we broke someones arm that did not know we were playing this game......I was not in the tube at the time, but we were not being good scouts considering our leader owned the place.........
A family that plays together ............. Kate, you and Emma seem to be smashing that kid between you.
