Happy Father's Day to our Dear Dad!

He's dapper, he's dashing
he's smart and he's fun
We all love him dearly
Because he's the one

Who loved us, taught us
and kept us out of the food
late in the evenings he was the
change jingling dude

The years have gone by
we've all flown the nest
Now when we look back
We know we had the best

There are plenty of dads
On the face of this earth
But six lucky kids
Won the lottery at birth

We're proud of you dad
You're the top of the heap
When we say you inspire us
It isn't a leap

Enjoy this Father's Day
and know this is true
from the East and the West
Your children love you!

What a nice poem! Thanks Deb for taking time to post it. I've added a few lines as follows:

How blessed is he
Just look and see
Six great children
Not one hellion
Six who loved him daily
Oft taking time to speak of him gaily
Best of all, they smile and ignore
His tuneless song which they deplore

Thanks to all my children for your kindness throughout all the years,
Dad

That is one great poem and one cute reply poem. One of the happiest sounds I've heard in the last few days is Dad humming! That tells me he really is feeling better.

Happy Fathers day glad you are feeling better. Love the photo with the sheep's skin coat

Believe it or not that photo was taken last week ... well it seems like last week but infact it was over 46 years ago on our honeymoon. The coat was one of the things I brought into our new life together. Mom loved to wear it too!
