Drift Boat - 2

This might be a picture of our new boat (it's in Hyde's 2008 catalog) but the dog didn't come with it nor the outboard ... other than that it's exactly the same color as our boat. This boat only shows one front seat but ours has three. Dan suggested setting a date for our 2009 fishing trip ... How about October 3rd on the Provo River then we could celebrate somebodies birthday the next day and someone else's the day before and several other someones a week later.

Very cool boat!

I thought we were going to float the snake?

That looks really different than I had imagined.

I've got an extra dog if you want one... although that one goes better with your boat.

I'm in for Oct 2nd on the Provo... Like I said, I'll man the oars so you can fish. I can hardly wait! Are you sure we can't take it out in winter?

I am a little concerned that there would be enough water for the boat to get down and to get the oars in the water deep enough to control it. When we we down last year the water was flowing high and fast. This year on July 3rd(i think that was the same day as last year when we were there)it was flowing at 688, this year on October 1st it was flowing at 322 and by the end of the month the river had slowed to 94 CFS.

I like the drive to the Provo river a lot more then the Snake, but I don't want to see the boat get torn up in a low flow.

PS I think I could get a second drift boat if we did the Snake river that two people could fish off of while one paddled.

I know we talked about the Snake but I'm sure families would want to come and there isn't enough room for everyone to stay at the cabin ... that's the reason I suggested the Provo.

Sounds good. You got the boat, you choose the float!

I thought it was the snake also. I would guess I will be by myself kids are in school. We can find someone to stay with in IF or I can ask Mark if we can crash at his cabin. We could do the St Joe and stay at my house.

If there were no families we could go to the cabin but I can't see that happening because I'm sure some of the kids and wives would want to come and mom would enjoy the visit.
