Christmas comes but once a year (bless that) but buying, sewing, decorating, cooking, planning, re-planning and buying, re-re-planning and buying, re-re-re-planning and buying goes on all year long. But it's still far and away the best time of the year.

Mom has finished umpteen pairs of PJ's. Every one of them made with special love sewn in. Why does she do it year after year you asked? It’s her way of giving you hugs every time you slip into them. Truth is; it keeps her out of trouble as well. This year the material was found in at least three states, patterns in several more and the sewing took place in both Utah and Arizona (some pairs were started in one location and finished in another).

We'll have a house full of Merry Makers Christmas Eve and by Christmas night we'll say: WHEW, wasn't that another great Christmas … and then take a long winter's nap.

Merry Christmas all,
Dad
