You had a Birthday, Shout Hooray!

Yesterday was Birthday #9 for sweet Emma. She got a Collie Webkinz that she has desperately wanted for months and as you can see a new Bike. She has never had a bike with a kickstand before so she was very excited to have it! She had fun riding her bike that night. Crystal made an ice cream cake that was yummy. It is hard to believe that Emma is 9 years old!

We also have a tradition of telling our kids the story of the day they were born. You should have heard the girls giggling last night when Crystal told them the story!

Happy birthday, again, sweet Emma! Loved seeing birthday pictures. Looks like you had a lot of fun. I wish you were here to help me with my pet lizard--maybe you could catch it and put it back outside! When Grandpa went out the back door the lizard came in. That was Monday. Today Grandpa went to Denver and the lizard decided to come out and play hide-and-seek with me. As much as you like animals I think you would like my lizard. Any suggestions, anybody?

Better yet. Adopt it and you have a tax deduction!

I'm laughing so hard. I have a mental picture of you playing hide and seek.

We can send chas out. He is good at catching lizards!

Happy Birthday Emma the cake looks good.

Mom you could always call the scoutmaster and ask if any of the scouts needs some service hours. I think catching a lizard would be the best service project ever.

Since he joined the family close to your birthday Emma, how about you naming my lizard for me? You're good at pet names. Lizard is a great climber but he can't climb up the leather furniture (thank goodness--there's somewhere safe for my feet.) I hope he doesn't climb up the stairs to spend the night in my bedroom.

Happy birthday Emma, 9 is your last year in the single digits, enjoy it while you can. Your mom and dad might make you get a job once you get to the double digits.
