Happy Birthday Matthew! Scouts is a ton of fun. I'm sure you will love it. You get to do all sorts of cool (sometimes feezing cold!) stuff. Some of the coolest things in my life happened in souts.
Congrats on becoming a Deacon as well.
Happy 12th Matthew its one of the bigger ones in your life. Receiving the priesthood is a big step into manhood. Scouts is a lot of fun, I think we have a family rule that one member of each family has to get their eagle.....and since you are short on brothers I guess you will have to get it. I am glad Charlie took care of it for your dad and his other brothers.

Happy birthday Matthew. It's fun to see the pictures of you with your birthday pie--that is the kind of birthday cake Grandpa likes best. I'm proud of you for being active in Scouts and for preparing to receive the Priesthood. Having the Priesthood gives a young man many chances to do things for others and with your kind heart you'll be one of the best! I love you so very much--Grandma Ward
