Pikes Market
Lana and I were in Seattle for a meeting last week and we spent a little time in Pikes Market. It is the one that is famous for the flying fish. Lots of fun to wander around in and a great place to get some fresh food. We had some Greek, Russian, Koren, Turkish, and of course local fish.
Idaho Trout wow $4 bucks a pound who knew we were eating that good when dad brought home fish.
This is the first Starbucks. This is like Mecca for the coffee drinkers. They were so crowded it bet it took half an hour to get a drink.
I took this one for Mike.

Hey I'm in Seattle too! Seattle is a neat town with lots to do.
I never actually make it up to Seattle when I am here so it was good to see some sights that I am near to but probably won't ever see unless I take some vacation out here!
I've been to Pike's Market with Dixie. It is a fun place. Everytime I see Idaho Trout on a menu I think of the times I could have eaten it for free. I loved trout when I was a kid--fishing with my Dad--but I don't really care for it now. I would never order it at a restaurant.
I agree, Idaho trout doesn't sound that good to me either. Pike's market sure looks fun though. That is definitly on of the famous landmarks in Seattle ... I need to make it there someday (or maybe this Fall ... are we stopping there?)
I love trout as long as it was caught less then 2 hours before eating. After that I have my doubts about it!
You should go to Pikes Dan they have a bus that goes there with only about 3 stops. I think it is # 94. Just book an early flight next time and run over to Pikes for a few hours.
We are planning on going there for the Sib reunion so you can all see it then.
I am with you mom and Dan about the trout hard to order in a restaurant when we have had it less than an hour out of the creek so many times.
I still love trout when it's cooked with almonds. I have a tee shirt from Pike's but I've never been there. We'll do that later this year.
Looks like a lot of fun! I had trout and eggs this am for breakfast and boy was it good!
Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Cool beans ... i wish i would have thought of making coffee famous.
