Moms Pet

Mom posted this as a comment on an earlier post. I thought it was so funny that I had to post it to the front! There are lots of funny comments about it under Emma's birthday.

I wish you were here to help me with my pet lizard--maybe you could catch it and put it back outside! When Grandpa went out the back door the lizard came in. That was Monday. Today Grandpa went to Denver and the lizard decided to come out and play hide-and-seek with me. As much as you like animals I think you would like my lizard. Any suggestions, anybody?

If you don't some water out for him/her you won't have a pet much longer. I told him to stay out but he/she isn't trained very well yet. Have fun!

Gramps Ward, do you seriously think I should put out a dish of water and a bowl of raw hamburger meat? Jayson wanted a pet iguana once--maybe he could come a rescue me and the lizard!

Emma thinks that the perfect name for your lizard is "Boo". She said "Lizzy" at first :) but changed her mind after some consideration.

That is the perfect name, Emma! Maybe he is playing peek-a-boo instead of hide-and-seek.

BOO-THE-LIZARD

Well, as far as desert pets go, this sounds to be a good one. You should be glad its not Kristy's pet scorpion that is playing peekaboo with you!!

I've already by charged by a mad scorpion, thank you very much! Boo always runs the other way when he sees me. He's much nicer than a scorpion--so you are right!

I am really surprised with dad gone that there is not a Boo-sickle in your house. I know dad is in charge of you not altering the climate of the valley.

That's where Boo is tonight--getting an early start on hybernating! How well you know me.

The 1st and last time I saw "Boo" was the day he ran into the house. I'm sure he's in here some where but mom only knows where. Happy Boo to you too LaRee.

That is why it is Mom's pet. The lizard obviously only likes her.

I suspect the real reason that the lizard doesn't like to be around Dad is that he doesn't like humming. :)
