I pulled into Bar Harbor last night about 3:30. Right now I am staying in a tiny little motel room with about a 15 square foot bedroom and a tiny bathroom. I will move into my three bedroom cottage on Saturday. I felt a bit discouraged when I saw the motel room, especially by the lack of a kitchen ... but I have improvised and made a shelf on the wall and a plastic bag on the door into a pantry and the bed into a counter. Right now I am sitting out on the common porch in the cool of the night eating a delicious sandwich and wild Maine blueberries ... so it is not all bad!!

Your 'hotel' looks pretty cozy. Sounds like they will make things up to you with the new house though. We look forward to hearing about all your Maine experiences.

What days do you still have open on your calender for people to come and visit? With a house that big, you should have house guests coming over on a regular bases.
I have all of September unbooked. The weekend of Oct 6th is free. November 3rd and 10th are free. And the weekend of Dec 1st also. I agree! I should have people here all the time!! I would love it if you all came. You can even stay during the week and play while I am at work.
That apartment reminds me of my mission. Looks HORRIBLE! But the new house looks nice.
the hotel looks small, but part of that might be the two bikes? any chance i could borrow one while i'm there ... that would mean i could fly instead of driving. i know biking is going to be on our list when i visit.
can i come the weekend of the 15th - 16th? i can't wait to see you and ME again
