The house looks great, I have looked at some pictures online as well, and it look like a very nice place. I agree with Lana and Kristy, its going to be a great place to make wonderful memories eating lots of tomatoes.

I would guess that with only 1 acre of grass, and a 5800 SF home, some land for driveways and landscaping, there is still around 3 acres of land for the garden. If the horse pasture has had horses in the past, it will be a great place to plant a garden. The down side of Ogden valley is the short growing season, the growing season will be over tonight with temperatures falling into the mid to upper 20's. Dad will just need to get the tomatoes plants early in walls of water to make sure that we will have plenty of tomatoes when we come to visit.

I think that I will leave my snowmobiles up there during the winter months (with the owners permission), so you all are free to use them when ever you would like to use them. I have been told some of the best snowmobiling in the state is just north and east of there. I am sure I will get out there this year to find the best places to go and the best hills to play on. I might even tell you where they are!!

I am looking forward to many many years of good times in our Eden, and we will be good so our dad does not kick us out for misbehaving!!!

Dad is not as quick as he once was. that will give us more time to stop doing whatever would get us in trouble. The change in his pockets won't jingle nearly as loud when he thunders down the stairs to make us be quiet so he might have to rely on stealth.

"Cabin"? This'll bring a whole new definition to "roughing-it". I'm just glad you'll be closer to Gram and Brent, and I'd much rather drive 40 - 50 minutes to Eden than the 20-30 minutes to Bountiful.

Mom is really excited to move to the Ogden Valley. While we were there Monday the mountain tops were all white with snow. With the frosted mountain tops framed by maple trees changing colors it was truly a site to see ... Indian lore says that winter starts 30 days after 1st snow so based on that; it looks like it will be an early winter. If so, we'll need lots of help running the snow blower. Glad to know we'll have lots of visitors!
Love to all,
Dad

Very nice - so glad mompig is getting her wish to live in this beautiful valley. shows us all to keep hoping and working for the dreams we each dream up.

i am a little baffled by how this is a "cabin" as opposed to a house - maybe we can uproot a bit of the grass and strew some wildflower seeds about?

We could put Mike in charge of xeroscaping the yard and it would look like a cabin in no time!!!
