March Sledness

The other day Crystal was walking the kids to school. They were talking about where they were born. All the sudden Emma piped up "Lucy's a native". Ever since when we take Lucy outside in the cold we say 'She's a native. She likes the cold!"
Anyhow it snowed here this week. We only got a couple inches but it was enough to do some sledding runs. I bought the big orange sled at a local hardware store on sale. I bought it on a nice warm day. The lady in front of me was buying flowers for spring planting and I was buying sled. She laughed at the divergence in our purchases.

Monday night we took Lucy for her first sledding run. It was fun!

We weren't sure if Lucy was thrilled with her first sledding trip or not but we had fun! It has been FREEZING here since the snow came on monday. Lots of snow on the ground in the shady spots which is pretty rare here. The nice thing about freezing weather is you get clear skies and a view of both sets of mtns.

After Lucy's run crystal took her home. The kids and I trekked over to the Jr. High and made quite a few runs on the bigger hill. We stayed until it was too dark to see. Good times!

Wow the 1st sleigh ride. Looks like she had fun even if the hill had a side walk right in the middle of it.

it was the dirt track going around the school. I couldn't stand the sled going over it though. That is why we found a different hill.

Man, you are still southerns....there's not enough snow there to be sledding.

that is actually a pretty normal snow storm for here. It snowed another inch here last night. By the time church was over it had melted away in the rain.

I love the "native" story and seeing pictures of all of you having fun together.
