You finally have 40 years of life behind you. Congratulations - Dad told me on my 40th birthday that "life begins at 40" .... it's been absolutely true. You're now old enough to appreciate the best good things in life and rich enough (especially compared to twenty) to enjoy them.
Besides all that everyone knows that going downhill is waaaay easier than going up.

We called and sang Happy Birthday ... I'bet you record it so you'll have it forever! That's right life does begin at 40 but in case you're concerned, if takes off again at 50. 60 and 70.
Always remeber that today is the first day of the rest of our lives ... don't be too concerned about yeaterdays nor spend all your time worrying about tomorrows (it's important to plan ahead so you're ready when tomorrow comes however) So take time to enjoy TODAY! Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I had an amazing swim (I'll blog about it later)...
The only bad thing about turning 40 was having so many people who've wanted to help me celebrate it. I've already had 4 different "parties" and still one to go. Swimming 9 miles was the easy part!
I didn't realize how far behind I was on the blog either. Wow you people are BUSY!
