I had fun watching the superbowl last night and thinking about Dad cheering on 'his' Arizona cardinals. I have always loved that Dad latches onto the local team whenever he relocates to a new place. When Crystal and I lived in NC we took Dad to the Mudcats (AA baseball) game and he was the biggest fan there. He just loves to cheer for the home team. Dad took David and I to a NC State/Duke game when I was a teenager. I was a lone Duke fan in a sea of red. I'm sure he was mortified that I yelled myself hoarse at that game but he never said a word. (State won by the way)
When Arizona took the lead late in the game yesterday I was happy for dad. I could picture him cheering after that score. When Pittsburgh made that great catch in the endzone to win the game I felt bad! It was an exciting finish to the game. I tried to call after the game but the call went straight to voicemail. I figured some of the other pigs had beat me to the call!

That was a great game even if the officials were awful. Not sure why they picked a flag happy crew for the supper bowl. I along with almost everyone at the party was pulling for AZ. Lots of excitement when it looked like they had it one.
That state Duke game was a great game the only ACC game I have ever been too. You know it's a tough league when they warn the fans not to through things on the floor. It happened just after the some shoe throwing incident.
I unlike dad don't always pull for the local team GO DENVER!
Well you have never had a local NFL team!
I missed the first half of the game. From what I saw neither team had a beef about the officiating. It must have happened in the first half.
David,
being on the east side of the state, I would guess there are more people cheering against the sea-hawks then for them. I know you all don't like anything from that side of the state.....
For the 2nd time since being married, I was at a baby blessing on Superbowl Sunday and missed most of the game. I guess that's what you get when you get married into a Canadian family.
Mostly this side of the state likes the sea chickens. They must be our team the government takes money from our side of the state to build them a stadium.
Lots of bad calls in the 2nd half. Pittsburg got 3 iffy at best 15 yard calls on one drive, and not review the last play is unforgivable. That was a forward pass.
This is what fox had to say

It was an exciting game==just had the wrong ending. I got to watch the game in HD while Dad was in UT watching it on a small screen.
Thanks Dan and Dave for the nice thoughts. I do love the team where I live and when you live in two areas you get to love and cheer for two teams (Jazz and Suns) I think the last pass by Kurt was a very close call but I have to admit that the replay guys in the booth got it right he was loosing the ball before his arm came forward. But at the end of the day it was one of the best Super Bowls I've ever seen! Cards all the way in 2009-10
We were all so sad to see our poor Cards go down like that, but hey nothing to hang our heads about they played great, and I think it was such a fun game to watch. Love you all
