If you were hoping to come to Seattle this weekend you are out of luck! All three passes coming to town are closed. Two of the passes are closed due to avalanches and the other pass is closed from mudslides. They are talking about closing I5 going south to Portland later today So the only way left to get up here is via boat or airplane. I'm glad Mom and Dad got here when they did.
We are have a weather phenonemon called a 'Pineapple Express' going on right now. For those of you interested here is an explanation of the pineapple express. I've learned that these storms are what causes the Chinook winds that melted all the snow in Idaho when I was a kid. I hated it when that happened!

It has rained several inches over the past few days and the temps have gone up from the thirties into the mid 50's. All the rain and melting snow has our rivers running at record stages. Our house is up on a hill and far away from any creeks or rivers so we are safe.
Soggily yours....

See Mom and Dad ... it is not normal!
Poor Stacy is in danger again! You may want to get some sand bags ready in case she needs some help.
Yup. Everything is closed now. 20 Miles of I5 are under water now.
I'm starting to lose credibility with Crystal. When we were moving here I told her that it hardly ever rains here.
At least you don't have to worry about Atlanta's drought anymore. It has gotten even worse Amtrak no longer has service to Seattle. You have to have some rain to have all that green!
