Cabeza, hombros, rodillas y pies

I’m taking an español clase with my friends Scott, Merlin, Ivy and Brad. We had our first lección last night and it was muy fantástica! I never have had the brain power to recall language like my younger siblings, but its fun trying. My favorite part about the clase is that we get to sing en español!

“Head, shoulders, knees and toes” was my favorite:

En español!
Cabeza, hombros, rodillas y pies,
rodillas y pies,
rodillas y pies
Cabeza, hombros, rodillas y pies!
Ojos, orejas, boca y nariz!

En Inglés!
Head, shoulders, knees and feet,
Knees and feet,
Knees and feet
Head, shoulders, knees and feet! Eyes, ears, mouth and nose!

Cabeza - head
Hombros - shoulders
Rodillas - knees
Ojos - eyes
Orejas - ears
Boca - mouth
Nariz – nose
Pies - feet, "dedos de pies" is toes, in Spanish it's shortened to "pies" to fit the rhythm of the song.

I wish I had learned spanish at some point in my life. Any knowledge at all will help you out. I can usually understand gringos speaking spanish because so many of the words from Tagalog were taken from the spanish.

Way to go Charlie--I loved the Spanish classes I took at the U. I wish I would have kept working at it. It is always good to keep learning new things.

totally awesome .. i want to do this too. I decided a few weeks ago that i want to spend my 45th birthday in Italy, but I'm wondering if maybe Spain is where I want to shoot for. Jaylin's grammy should know Spanish I think.

You INSPIRE me all the time!
