No Kiddin'
Our kids had two half days of school last week so it was a good time to take off on a surprise trip. When I picked the kids up from school the van was already loaded and ready to go. We waited a few minutes for Dan to get home and then said "Let's Go!" The kids asked us where and we said "oh, we'll find something fun to do." We were halfway to the state line before they started to get ansey. You may be wondering how three kids could go 2 1/2 hours in the car without knowing the destination. The answer is "Harry Potter on cd". They were so into the story that the time flew by. Dan and I kept looking at each other in amazement, wondering when they would demand a destination and complete itinerary. The video says it all...By the way, the big surprise wasn't our idea. Some friends of ours pulled it on their kids with DisneyWorld last October. It was a ton of fun to keep the secret, I almost blew it so many times. A big Thanks to Kristi for teaching me how to compress my videos and put them together!

That was fun to see! Obviously I was driving so I only got to hear their reactions to the suprise. It was nice to suprise the kids with something fun.
I think this would be a lot of fun to do, I think I would have to do it at night and have a movie playing to get away with this. Looks like fun, when are you going back?
We hope to go back in October and maybe at Christmastime since they turn their Artic Helicopter Simulator into a cool Polar Express ride! We avoid Florida in the summertime!
How fun is that! I'm not sure Emma believes you yet! Katie, Chas and Emma, give your Mom and Dad a big hug and "thank you" for the fun surprise. Your Dad never got a surprise like that from his mom and dad. You'll all have to tell me what your favorite thing was (and how wet you got in the splash zone!)
We did this to our kids, but we told them we were going to Grandma's. We announced disney/seaworld and Libby spent about an hour saying "I want Grandma. I want Grandma!"
