I went backpacking this weekend while Crystal and the kids were traveling back from Utah. I have been waiting to go backpacking in the cascades since about 3 days after we moved to WA so I am glad I finally got to go. It was a great trip. I can’t wait to go back with Crystal and the Kids. We had some great backpacking trips in GA and I am excited to continue the tradition in Washington. I found a hike called Crystal lakes which is in Rainier National Park. All told I ended up gaining 5000 vertical feet. Needless to say I am sitting on the couch blogging today instead of out on another hike! (I am so SORE)

You really should be a photographer for National Geographic. The pictures you take are beautiful. The bridge to the ice caves is now open!!!! We are going on Saturday the 18th. When does Crystal come back? It is a very easy hike...my kind of hike. Let me know if you want to join us.
How much fun can the hike to the ice cave be with out the swim in the river first.
