Dad had a pretty good day today. His pain level is very manageable and he is pretty upbeat. (not a surprise there) His only complaint is his belly. He is still not very hungry for real food. Last night they brought him cabbage rolls (those things are risky in the best of times) and then tonight they brought him steak (STEAK????) and potatoes with a little bit of fruit. He ate the fruit and had us take the rest right out of here because he couldn’t stand the smell. He did get a little bit of soup along with a lime-sherbet float. (lucky guy!) We had several visitors and phone calls today and Dad enjoyed the company.
Here he is with some of the get well cards he received from grandkids and others. Notice he has his blackberry front and center. We are taking it away at night!

KrisCabbage rollsd and broccoli! He's been very miserable. That's a big jump from soft foods to a regular diet--now if they would have been my cabbage rolls he would have been alright. Do you kids remember the toys called "Weebles"? That's dad--"Weebles wobble but they don't fall down." He may have wobbled but he's definitly not falling down or giving up.

Mom that is hilarious =) ... I will definitely say no to any cabbage rolls other than MomCabbage Rolls =) (although I did have some in Ukraine that were pretty good but not as good as MomCabbage Rolls!) Maybe my name in front of cabbage rolls was a sign that I should learn how to make them!
