Grandma smells……

A few days ago Emma came and sat on my lap and said in her sweet voice  “Mom, do you know how Grandma smells? Like all fresh and powdery?  Well, when I saw a picture of her on the blog, my brain thought it smelled her.”  Emma sat with me for a minute, gave me a hug, smiled and said “I love that blog.”

I love that blog too.

I was sick in bed when Crystal told me about this last night. I giggled at the title.

I love the blog as well. It is fun to keep up with everyone.

I love the blog too. And I sure love Emma--she has a unique way of expressing her feelings--I love it!

Sweet Emma! She has a wonderful way of describing her feelings and her love for her grandma. I love the Blog for a lot of reasons … but mostly because we can keep track of everyone; just like we are living with all of you!

I was remembering my grandma the other day too Emma. Your Grandma Larsen. I remembered her pansies and snowball bush in her garden, her scary basement with the tub washer and rolling laundry wringer, her 'nilla waffer cookies, but most especially that I remember that she gave the best hugs. I wish I could remember how she smelled. You're lucky to know that about your grandma.

Charlie,
You ought to put some of these in a book ... it would sell

Charlie, I'm glad you can remember your Grandma Larsen--she was one of the kindest and best person and I miss her. It has always been a great sadness to me that my kids didn't get the chance to know my parents better.

I can't remember Grandma Larsen at all. (then again I can't remember most of my childhood) I do love Vanilla Wafers though. If we ever have them at home, I'm a wafer eating machine! I probably got that from visiting Grandma's house. :)
