Greetings from Washington!! This last weekend David was kind enough to invite us over to Pacific Beach where we will hold the Sib. We had a great time visiting and enjoying Washington. We had fantastic weather which we may not have when we go back. We were able to enjoy walks on the beach, driving on the beach, the kelpers parade and many other such things. The most amazing things to me were the rain forest and the tide pools. We will see the rain forest for sure while we are there and I hope we can see the tide pools. The diameter and height of some of the trees in the rain forest was amazing. When we got home I commented that none of the trees near our house seem tall anymore. We still feel like tourists and we were blown away by the scenery and beauty of the Washington coast. Just one bit of advice though. If you plan on getting in the water on the beach bring your wetsuit! It didn't rain while the new WA Wards were there (we have to get a new nickname) but we saw a yearly precipitation chart. All I can say is bring your rain coat in October.

We had a great time with Dan. He correct about the weather plan on it being wet and cold. It often is, it's a rain forest after all. That will not change how beautiful it is or how much fun we will have. The tides don’t look good for tide pooling, but we will try. There is a –1.5 about an hour after dark maybe we can watch the sunset and tide pool in the full moon. Looking forward to you all coming.
It wasn't raining but the sun wasn't shinning either. Brrrr! We are excited about coming and can hardly wait until we get there. Good to see you guys enjoying one another’s company.
Love to all,
Dad
WOW! That is awesome scenery. I can't wait to see the WA coast and all the people that I love.
Looks like a lot of fun =) ... It is fun to see those cousins and brothers together!
Wet suits????????? are you kidding me? We are big tough Wards....Oh wait, I think I am the one that the water in Mexico was too cold to swim in. I did not even think about going swimming in WA, OR is July is about all I could think of doing. It looks very pretty and we are looking forward to seeing it all. It would be nice to have an equipment list before our trip next month...you can leave the wet suits off the list.
