Since Dan had already gone on to Puyallup, this is the only picture we have of us on the last leg of our continental journey. The kids are wearing some very special WA shirts made for them by their cousin Shelby. Thanks Shelby! That was really nice! Whenever one of us is feeling sad about leaving sweet Georgia, we just try to remember how nice it is to be within driving distance of family. We can not wait for October to get here and get some hugs from Grandma and Grandpa!!!!

I love the shirts!!!! That is such a cute picture. I like that drive along the Colombia river gorge ... but I didn't know that you drove on it from Spokane to Seattle.
Hey! Where are the dalia pictures???
I love the shirts too. Shelby is a sweetheart as are Katie, Emma and Chas. And so are Matthew and Libby and the rest of my grandkids. I am blessed. Love the picture and the location. You are a brave mother, Crystal. I'd probably be reduced to crying if I had to drive myself and kids cross country--oh wait--I did it a couple of times!
Mom ... I was going to say the same thing!!! =)
Great shot. The Shelby, Matthew and Liberty are happy to have cousins in Washington also. The Columbia River cuts through the middle of Washington before turning and going down the middle Washington and Oregon. I think this must have been taken at about Vantage, lots drier than the gorge you drive though on the way to Portland. You will get to drive though on the way to the sib also.
Nope, I'm going to fly ... but I am sure that at some point I will drive from Spokane to Seattle ... maybe next summer when I have some time off.
