I have spent the last few weeks sewing 36 dresses out of T-Shirts with cotton material gathered onto the bottom. They are for the humanitarian effort of the Church and they are going to be sent to Africa.

It was rewarding to me to dig deep into my old brain and bring back some of the sewing skills, and creative skills I used to have making clothes for all you little piggies.

I made them from size two to size 14-16. The Church provided the tee-shirts.

This is the last dress--now I can clean up my sewing room and get ready for pajama making!

I tried to make each dress as perfect and well-made as I knew how. I tried to make them cute or pretty because they were going to Heavenly Father's little daughters in Africa.

Mom,
That is so Wonderful!! Way to use your talents to serve. I'm sure you will be blessed for it as will the recipients of your talents.
Our kids love your home sewn flannel jammies. Now that i live somewhere cold I would like them better too!!
It has been quite a production here! =) Mom always goes above and beyond when she sets her mind to a task!! The dresses are even cuter in real life.
You are "sew" awesome! The dresses are so cute and I know the little girls in Africa will feel loved as they wear them!
I saw some of these up close and personal as well. They really are cute. Heck, I'd even wear one! (Just kidding mom... no more night shirts are still "out" in my book).
You're pretty darn wonderful Mom. I am sure that the girls who receieve them will be as happy with them as you were while making them.
Aunt Laree that's awsome! I'm sure those little girls will love those dresses. There's nothing like having something new and pretty to wear, it just feels good!!
