This little piggie went to Puyallup

The GA wards were tired of being the furthest south (technically Mom and Dad are further south but they don't live there full time) so we decided we want to be the furthest west. (or as David thinks of things the furthest east) We are moving to the Seattle Area. Most likely we will be moving to a town named Puyallup. Its pronounced just like it looks!

Crystal and I have spent the last month agonizing over the decision and its long term implications. We feel like it will be a great place to raise our children.

I am excited to live in the northwest although I will miss my big beautiful garden. Michael will have to ship tomatoes to me. We will miss our friends and the pool. We are excited to be much closer to family than we ever have been though. We hope to be moved there before Labor day this year. If that happens I will definitely be at the sibling reunion! The lynch pin in the process will be selling our home. This is a terrible time to sell a house so we will be praying extra hard for that to happen. More details to follow.

I'm happy! It will be nice to have you live closer to us--plan on seeing more of me. We will be praying for you and hope all will run smoothly for you in the move. I know how hard and tiring moving can be!

I am excited for you Dan, I think this will be a good move for you and I look forward to visiting you in your new home when we all come for the big reunion.

Welcome back to the West Coast....one little Deb and kids on the East Coast.

Great to hear Dan! Always glad to have more WA WARDS. Hurry and buy a house we want to stay with you on July 4th for the tall ship festival in Tacoma. We have enjoyed WA very much, and we are over there way more than in GA so we will get to see you more often.

Lots more space in WA if any of the rest of the pigs want to move this way. It would help me save gas.

Dan there is so many Blackberries over there that they sell Blackberry bush killer in the stores, but do not tell mom. I have also seen huckleberry, and chokecherry. I has been along time since I have had some chokecherry jam.

I have blackberry's growing in my yard, well so far its only been blackberry, but that one was very good. I do have choke cherries going in my yard, I have not done anything with them yet, but it looks like I will have a good crop this year. I think choke cherry jam is about 99% sugar as they are very bitter on the bush.

I am looking forward to coming to your house during the berry season getting sick eating them.

Geesh.

I've got to check in more often.

I'm pretty sure i live in the middle of the country. or judging from the fact that i eat pork three times a day (the ONLY protein in the salad bar day after day after day is ham) i live in the south.

But yep .. there are a lot of Andersons on the east coast. I think we are about to have one more location. Nate is thinking of moving from the PA campus to the Florida campus ... life's a beach when you're young.

BLACKBERRY BUSH KILLER! YOU'RE KIDDING RIGHT? I used to pay Carol Harris $10.00 a bottle for the blackberry jam she brought to the Harris auctions. When you get your second blackberry, Michael, call me and I'll share it with you. And, by-the-way, the chard was delicious!

You will pay $10 a jar for blackberry Jam?! Come and see me next year! I think we will get there too late for blackberries this year but next year we will make jam and syrup for sure.

This all sounds pretty exciting. Mom and I love picking backberrys but we have one problem: we eat them as fast as we pick 'em. Good luck on the house selling and buying.
