Here are the latest pictures of the baby. We took them just this morning.Due to the lack of light this far north we had a hard time getting the pictures done at a time when the baby was happy. Some of these pictures may end up on a birth announcement if we ever get around to it. Lucy is a lousy sleeper but has learned to smile a little bit. She loves to flip her head backwards and look at the world upside down. This was the same dress that she was blessed in although she is twice as old now as when she was blessed.

Watch DOG
I spent the day wednesday volunteering at school. There is a program called Watch D.O.G.S. at this school and several schools across the country. The D.O.G.S stands for Dads Of Great Students. The program was started in response to a school shooting in Arkansas several years ago and has expanded nationwide. Having an adult male in the school has curbed violence in the schools tremendously. Our elementary school has had a dad there every day of the school year which is an amazing feat!
The kids were very excited to have me there. I had lunch with Chas and Katie and watched Emma's musical class. I also got to read a story to Chas' class. My role was to just be a presence in the school. I wandered the halls, delivered notes to classes and stamped lots of kids hands with my DOG stamp. The stamp had a picture of a dog bones with the word Watch Dogs. When I stamped the Kindergartners hands, one kid looked at it and said 'Words and Bones' which made me giggle.
It was a fun way to be involved at the kids school. I got to talk with the adminstrators and teachers about our kids in an informal way. We miss our school in GA but are glad we landed in such an excellent school here in WA.

Wake up Lucy
I spend all night trying to help Lucy sleep and all day trying to get her to wake up! One of these days we will get on the same schedule. She is just too cute for words so I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Walking with Dinosaurs
Kristi and I went to a show on Saturday night called "Walking with Dinosaurs: The Live Experience" at the Energy Solutions Areana (Delta Center) in downtown Salt Lake City.
"Internationally renowned designers worked with scientists to create 15 life-size dinosaurs, including the terror of the ancient terrain, Tyrannosaurus-rex!" We were amazed and thrilled as the greatest creatures ever to walk the earth returned to life before our eyes. It was a dazzling spectacle where we watched them walk, heard them roar, and watched them fight for survival and supremacy. Quite amazing.
Here's a preview of what we saw...
My client friend Elizabeth "The Lizard" Eliason gave me the tickets to see the show. We had "rock star" seats center court on the third row!
From that vantage point this brachiosaurus was unbelievably huge!
Don't believe me... look at Kristi's expression!
Here here we are in the arena at intermission...
Kristi and I met at my office to carpool. When I asked who's car we were going to take, she said, "We're not driving... we're walking with dinosaurs"... and so we walked! It was a 14 block walk on a cold Utah winter night, but we had fun none-the-less!
Kate walks at a Margie Mach 1 pace so we got there in good time. To finish our night out after the show we rode a light-rail train back to our cars.
You can always count on Kate to make an interesting adventure even more interesting and... um, adventure-y.
We had a great time!

California Arcadia Mission
Logan has received his mission call to the California Arcadia Mission speaking Mandarin Chinese. He will be entering the MTC March 6th, he is not certain when his farewell will be, but I will post it here when I find out. I am very proud and excited for him, I am sure he will do a great job.

Lucy's Blessing
We had Dad, Mom, David and Lana and Grandma to our house over the weekend. It was quite a crowd. Mom and Dad got bumped to an areobed all the kids slept on the floor but it was a good time. Stacey and Ben and Amelia Harris came over as well. It was fun to have so much family there for the event. I was glad David could make it with all the weather we have had. He doesn't show up in any of the pictures we took because they left right after sacrament meeting to try to avoid driving over the pass in the dark. Stacey came down even though her house was threatened by a landslide and flooding. Lucy was not happy after the blessing so these aren't the best pictures in the world but we will have good memories for a long time to come. Here are some of the pictures of the weekend.

I’m taking an español clase with my friends Scott, Merlin, Ivy and Brad. We had our first lección last night and it was muy fantástica! I never have had the brain power to recall language like my younger siblings, but its fun trying. My favorite part about the clase is that we get to sing en español!
“Head, shoulders, knees and toes” was my favorite:

I took these pictures of Lucy yesterday so she could say "Good Morning" to her Dad in 
Georgia. (that's why the quality isn't as good as Dan's or Kristi's, sorry!) Lucy is changing everyday. Her face and hands and feet are getting chubbier and she opens her eyes big and wide to look around. Feel free to come on up for a snuggle and a visit anytime!
