Happy Easter Everybunny

We celebrated Easter with a trip to the first anual Patterson Park Easter festival, which is where we had our bunny faces painted. After we laughed at Punch and Judy, we took part in an 80 year old Baltimore tradition: Duckpin bowling. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duckpin_bowling you'd think that with smaller pins it would be easier to knock them down, but it was pretty tough! Mom got in on the bunny act too. After we bowled we grabbed some seriously good Baltimore grub at the Sip & Bite. We'd been bunnies for so long that we didn't think a thing about sitting down to eat with our paint on, but we probably looked pretty silly.

Wyatt Lewis LarsenIn answer to prayer, Wyatt Lewis Larsen joined our family September 21, 2007. In response to a higher call he peacefully left us March 13, 2008, after complications due to heart failure. Wyatt has blue eyes, strawberry blond hair, and an infectious smile. Wyatt brought love with him, and returns to his Heavenly Father with our love. We have committed ourselves to living that one day our reunion with him might be eternal. "No empty chairs."Wyatt is survived by his parents, Derek and Andrea (Jensen) Larsen, his brother Tyler (11), and sisters Emily (8), and Hayley (3), of Ivins, UT; grandparents Dunk & Aleen Larsen of Orem, UT, and Darrell & Norma Jensen, also of Orem, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. We express heartfelt thanks to all the medical staff who lovingly cared for Wyatt over the past few days. Funeral services will be held March 19th, at the Ivins Stake Center, 260 E. 1060 S., Ivins. A viewing for family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. with services to follow at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at the Tonaquint Cemetery.Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, UT (435) 673-2454. I have changed the rules a little bit this year to favor the upsets. When you make a pick the seed is multiplied. Each first round game is worth a point plus the multiple of the seed. So if you pick a #1 seed to win then you get 1 point if they do win. If a #12 seed wins then you get 12 points. This is only for the first round.

I give up

A year after we moved to GA, I decided that if I lived in GA I just had to have a couple of peach trees. It just seems fitting to me to grow peaches in the peach state. Five years later I have yet to get very many peaches. I bought the trees at the end of the first summer on clearance and ddn't expect any fruit the next year as the roots established themselves. The third year we got some fruit off but it was small and had a lot of bugs in it. So last year I go down to our garden center and buy some pesticide to kill the bugs. We went out of town on Spring Break and when we returned home from South GA we discovered that a hard frost had occurred while we were gone. All of our peaches, kaput. This year spring comes around, and with it hope for a better harvest. However it looks grim once again! We woke up on saturday morning and looked outside to see...SNOW, IN GA, ON MARCH 8TH!!! It is tough to tell in this picture but it is snowing at a pretty good clip. We had another good freeze saturday night. I'm hoping some of the tighter blossoms will survive the freeze and we will get some fruit off these blasted trees this year!!

Hello everyone sorry its been long since we posted on here:0 We have been so busy getting ready to move here very shortly:)

Well everyone Jaylin is now 5 months old and one day:) I cant believe how time flies.

As you can tell we love the BEACH:) and we try to go as much as we can. Oh and taking pictures:)

Our day began very early in the morning, we didnt want to miss the sun and the a beautiful day. We love walking and what better place the beach:) While daddy is at work mommy and Jaylin love to be on the beach:) Walking, feeling the water touch our toesies and of course the breese:) Jaylin enjoys it and i love enjoying seeing her smile.

Sunny California!

I am out in California this week for work. This is the second time I have been to California and I had forgotten how beautiful it can be here. The first time I visited I was in wine country up north and the golden rolling hills amazed and awed me. This time I am in the LA area. I had dinner last night with Auntie Kathy which was of course a blast! I never realized the size of the mountains in and around Los Angeles. I'm not right in the city so I don't know what the view is like there, but the picture I took are right outside my hotel door. It was quite a sight to wake up to. Those mtns must rise 3500 feet off the valley floor. I'm a sucker for a good mountain so I thougt I would share with you.

After work and before dinner I went out for a hike in the hills around our plant. It was just a twilight and I got a nice picture of the sunset. (After I got the picture I ran to my car because I was a little bit nervous with all the gang related grafitti I could see.) Ever since I was a kid in Idaho Falls sunsets have mesmerized me. The other nights I was here the sunsets were even better but I couldn't take a picture driving down the freeway!

I may never eat a hamburger again

I have chosen to take part in a biggest loser contest at work, and I came across a list of restaurants with nutritional information today after eating a nice BBQ lunch. I think I have decided that I will never eat a fast food hamburger and fries again.

This web site should help me find good places to eat out at, and still enjoy myself. If I lose the most and win the prize, it will pay for about half the cost to replace my pants that will not longer fit me!

Outer banks

A few years ago the NC Wards took me to the Outer-banks of NC. I was cleaning up my email account and came across these. There are pictures of the girls and Chas in a blanket, somehow Dan stayed out of the pictures. I think these pictures are from a later trip then I took with them, but we still did have fun. If you have never been there, you should plan a trip there sometime and if you can talk Dan and Crystal into being tour guides all the better.

St. David's Day

I hope you are all having a great St. David's Day.

We started our day with a traditional Welsh breakfast including Welsh bacon that Lana found. The bacon was excellent if you ever get a chance try some. We also had Steven's hot chocolate that is served at all Ward events. Liberty made a red Dragon poster for the event.
