Isn't rugby the roughest sport there is?

It is a rough sport. I was exhausted just from watching it. I really have no idea what is going on. I just look for good photos. I did however decide that Rugby should be called "Little piles of people" because that is what is going on on the field most of the time as there is no stop of play after a tackle.

I went to a match in Ireland years ago ... the two teams, Ireland and Holland, beat the crap out of each other and then hugged each another after it was over. It looks like the good guys from the south won this match! I'll tell mother and I'm sure she will he happy and sad.

fantasitc pictures .... I see that BYU put the guy with teeth in the front. With teeth like those he must be a bench warmer :-)

All those players in the trophy picture actually played most of the game. I was a bit surprised as well at how attractive the players were. With a sport like that you would expect more rough and rugged looking people.

The big lesson from this game is that team play wins. From all of the pictures that I took you would have though that Utah won because they had 3-4 standout, amazingly athletic players. But as I was looking at the pictures I noticed that the pictures I had of Utah were of individual achievement whereas the pictures I had of BYU were of players passing, working together. I think that as in any team sport it is not necessarily the team with the standouts that wins but the team that plays as a team.

Rugby is an absolute blast to watch. I have a couple of friends that played for the Radford Rugby team, who actually won Nationals the year I was able to watch them play. It is stunning to watch these very large individuals with ZERO pads on go crashing into each other. Quite an amazing sport and definetly a little too intense for me to even want to try!!
