The facility is also a "rescue center" for rare and endangered plant species.
Clay knew a lot more than me, but neither of us knew a lot about the plants we saw ... we did spend a few hours saying, "Oh My Heck, that is SO COOL!" We just wanted all of you to be able to say it too (and frankly we are hoping Chuck will post some comments explaining what we saw).

Wow! You keep posting about the Botanical gardens and you'll end up with all of us camped at your doorstep begging to go! I recognized a prickly pear cactus. Crystal, Lucy, Dad and I have spent a fun day at the Desert Botanical gardens--they are beautiful and amazing. We also went there with The Friends.
In fact we are members of the Botanical gardens. We always love going and need to find time to do it more. Clay looks good ... at first I thought that Kristi had posted this and I couldn't figure out how he got to SLC. When I finally realized that you had posted it it all came together.
Dad
Clay is the reason I keep hanging out at the USBG ....Our kids have a way of showing us a world we never could have imagined on our own, don't they.
Tomorrow Joe is taking me to see the kites at the Smithsonian Kite Festival.
AND .. you are positively welcome to show up on our doorstep anytime. It would give us all a good reason to eat at Obreykies (spelling?) again!
